As a designer one of the many pickles I find myself in is looking for artwork. Whether it is a logo, texture, a silhouette or a particular image you want, every project brings new challenges. In an effort to help my design colleagues with image signs and graphics, here is a list of some sites that have helped me out, Some of the sites are free, others want you to purchase their art. I have found that most customers are willing to pay for art if it gets them what they want.

Being in the digital printing age of sign making color matching has become even harder to do especially if you don’t know the basics. After learning that color space does matter the hard way long ago, here is a quick overview of the RGB and the CMYK color spaces.

How Do You Know You’re Getting Quality Signs and Banners without knowing a thing about signs?

A lot of times customers contact us for signs, but they do not have the proper file format of their logo. Sometimes, they do no any files at all, just their already printed business card. Other times, all they have is an old .jpg version of what they bought previously or a picture of what they like. Most times, they have a certain color in mind and want us to match it. Without any Pantone colors or your own spot color how can you get THAT color?

Turning the vision in your head into words and then into a working design is just as important as the sign itself.
