How Do You Know You’re Getting Quality Signs and Banners without knowing a thing about signs?
Here are some tips from the sign professionals at Resource 4 Signs:
- Review their previous work. As a future client, any sign company should be willing to show examples that show their quality of craftsmanship. Quality is equally as important as the final price.
- Know your budget and what you are looking for. Don’t be sweet talked into saving money for a lesser quality sign you may have to replace next year.
- Compare apples to apples. While it is always wise to get more than one price, make sure each sign company is quoting you on the same sign and the same materials. While some may offer a cheaper solution it may yellow or fade quicker due to those cost cuts.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions. What is that material? Why is that better? Is there another option? Many clients when buying signage just leave it t the experts; however that is not always the best solution. We want to educate our customers and explain that while we may not be the cheapest, we put out quality work that we're willing to stand behind.
- A Detailed Proof. Once you have chosen a sign company make sure you get a proof. This is a mock up of the sign that you have ordered along with various details about the sign such as height, width and material. Usually the more detailed the proof the better. Have them super impose your sign on to the install location and make sure it’s to scale. It will give you a better idea of how it works in the space. If your proof doesn’t call out everything on your estimate, ask them to add more details.
