Car Wrapping on a Ford E350

Springbok Bar & Grill is owned by two South African friends that wanted to bring their love of Rugby and home here to Los Angeles and wanted to use their new vehicle to do so. This was a very interesting project for us simply because of the design. The goal was to make the vehicle wrap on a Ford E350 blend the two concepts of Rugby and the African Savannah together, not the easiest of tasks.
First we started with the name, Springbok. We designed a pub style wooden sign to showcase the name and make it big and bold, yet not overtake the whole vehicle wrap. To blend the ideas of bar and savannah we took the wooden accent from the Springbok logo and made the front and back of the van look like wood paneling. The sides would have the African Savannah feel. This was at first a challenge, but luckily both concepts shared a lot of the same earth tone color scheme, so it still flowed together.
For the sides of the van we used a Springbok (South African Rugby team) player charging from the back of the van toward the front. Leading him was an image of an actual springbok animal jumping across the van, finally leading to a monsterous lion roaring at them. After those were in place, we added a background of the African Savannah along with some filler design to give it some modern flare . The owners were blown away by the final result.
